June 28, 2010 lecoqjudi

I had the weekend off and I had the good fortune to have my sister Sharon join me.  She came in late last night and we took advantage of this free day to go grocery shopping and I took her for lunch at a Lebanese restuarant on the causeway,  a bridge of land built by the American military during the construction of the Panama Canal.  The causeway was built with the earth that was dug out from what would eventually be the canal.  The causeway connects the mainland to 3 islands out in the Pacific.  It is both stunning beautiful and reminiscent of another time.  The Canal was completed in 1914.  Tomorrow starts all my treatments in earnest.  I have physical therapy in the morning, a spinal injection in the afternoon and my first IV to give me back my own stem cells, taken from my adipose fat.  I hope to post later in the day tomorrow.  Thank you for following my blog 🙂
