Here I am less than a week back from Panama, and I feel wonderful. I am full of energy, although I realize that this beautiful side benefit will last just less than a year. The Doctors at the the Stem Cell Institute are aware of this little immune system issue and are working on the problem. Anyway, I noticed this morning that my balance seems to be better, no holding onto the walls and counters. Dare I hope that my balance will be restored on this go round?

I have done some major catching up since coming home. In order to schedule my physical therapy, I have to have a Doctor’s order. So my appointment is scheduled for May 31st…so far away, but that is the way it goes. I am on the cancellation list in case there is a chance I can get in earlier. I have one important thing to report: although I am quite tired from all the activity, the transplants and the pt in Panama, I still accomplished a TON of stuff yesterday. For everyone who is dealing with MS, you will understand how important this is. On a typical day with MS, the fatigue does not allow even the smallest stuff to get done. One little victory to report!

Hi Everyone! Here I am at home at last. I have piles of paperwork and lots of thing to take care of. The priority is to set up my physical therapy…keep these Stem Cells moving. If I accomplish nothing else today, this is the thing. I did get the oven fixed today…YAY!! Look for a new post on my PT!

I am really feeling tired today, 2 weeks of intense treatment and physical therapy and then the traveling. I think I need to give myself some time to rest up. I am going to try to set up my physical therapy tomorrow, got to keep those Stem Cells moving so they can get where they need to go and do their job!!

Here I am, back in Arlington and ready for a good night’s sleep!  I just have to report this news:  Airports are so large that I often take a wheelchair as a precaution., however in Panama I decided to walk to the gate.  Something amazing happened:  I did not have the “drop foot” problem one time, and it was a long walk.  I have not used a cane since the 1st treatment, and I did not use it this time either.  Seeing this change so soon after my 2nd transplant is very exciting!  Good night everyone 🙂

PS  I will post every day to chart my progress.

Up bright and early…6AM…I found last time and it is the same this time, that the energy level is insane with Stem Cells on board. I am going to begin preparing my suitcase and I have some leftover food and such that I will give away. The day stretches before me. I will read and relax along with the preparations. I have an early flight tomorrow bound for DFW. What an adventure this has been!! I will update everyday with changes and so forth. Have a wonderful day!

I have just completed my 2nd Adult Stem Cell Transplant. I feel fabulous and like I have really accomplished something. I cannot wait to see what this one brings me!!

Here are some photos of the Doctors, staff and patients who were there! Some of the Doctors and Staff are not in the picture. I am proud to say that my friend Lisa French, a fellow patient, stood up for this photo.

The last Physical Therapy is complete and now I have started drinking my water in preparation for my last Intrathecal of Mesenchymal Stem Cells.  I will also have a final IV of my own CD34 Stem Cells.  I am going to share some pictures….rain, rain, rain from my condo, and 2 pictures with my Physical Therapists on this final day.
